Join Friends of Mill Ridge Park for a celebration of Mill Ridge Park's opening! The festivities will include a family-friendly 5K from 8am-10am, then from 10am-3pm there will be live music and dance, food trucks, fun games and prizes, and exhibits.
Volunteers can expect to be included in the following ways:
- learning about and sharing information about park programming and upcoming volunteer opportunities
- facilitating family-friendly lawn games and activities
- engaging with guests and exemplifying a fun and inviting experience
- pre-event setup and post-event cleaning and teardown
- (bonus points if you have personal stories from the park to share with guests!)
Different shift times are available throughout the day. Lunch and swag will be provided...and a fun time!
Mill Ridge Park is 600+ acres of nature, centrally located in the fast-growing, diverse community of Southeast Davidson County. Friends of Mill Ridge Park enhances and advocates for Mill Ridge Park to strengthen the community in Southeast Davidson County. Your work will help provide healthy access to nature and recreational activities for neighboring families, students, and employees.
