Each year, Litton Middle Magnet school sponsors a program entitled, “High Dosage” tutoring for our students who are Approaching Expectations on their TCAP assessment. High Dosage tutoring pairs a college student with a 6th, 7th or 8th grade student for one hour a week, tutoring them in either ELA or Math. The High Dosage tutoring program has been very successful for the school; however, they are in need of assistance. Generally, they have used their own teachers to support the program. This year, missed school days because of the inclement weather, and other circumstances have made it necessary to reach out to area colleges and universities.
The hours are Monday-Friday, 10:00-11:00AM and they are only asking for one day of volunteer commitment per week for 8 weeks, but students are absolutely welcome to sign up for more or fewer days. The High Dosage tutoring program starts February 5th through April 5th.
