Join the Compact for a cleanup of Sevenmile Creek in South Nashville! Since our last cleanup of Sevenmile, Nashville has experienced record flood events and damaging wind storms, which have pushed litter and debris into our waterways. It’s time for us to get our boots on and our litter grabbers out!
Close out your summer with a cleanup of Sevenmile Creek in South Nashville with the Cumberland River Compact!
Sevenmile Creek is located on a Metro Nashville Flood Buyout Site and as a result, it accumulates a lot of litter from stormwaters induced by rainfall - which Nashville had record amounts of in May! At February's cleanup, we removed over 2,600 pounds of litter from the creek!
Registration on VolunteerHub is required to participate, address provided only after registering. This is an on-foot cleanup. Litter grabbers, gloves and trash bags will be provided. Please bring your own water, snacks and a friend!
In addition to responding on Get Connected, please sign up here and let’s get cleaning!
