Donelson/Hermitage Holiday Market Volunteer description

Join our team at The Healing Arts Project Inc. (HAPI)!  As a volunteer at our vendor booth, this fall at the Donelson Hermitage Holiday Annual Market. You will connect with art lovers, promote healing, and support mental health and addiction recovery. Be part of something meaningful. Volunteers will be needed for various tasks, including putting labels on items, packing for the market, and setting up the vendor booth (tent, tables, items, etc.) with a very pleasant look with art easily accessible to the customer. Also, the activities would involve working booths, helping check people out, putting purchased items in bags, ensuring that items remain stocked, maintaining a count of inventory, and packing up items that did not sell.

Lead Volunteer 

Your role as Lead Volunteer is not just important, it's integral to the success of the event. You will assist with welcoming attendees, providing information, and ensuring a positive experience for all guests. Your contribution will create a warm and inviting atmosphere at the event, making a significant difference to our cause.


Responsibilities:

  • Greeting and Welcoming: Greet attendees as they arrive and provide a friendly welcome.
  • Information Sharing: Provide information about the event schedule, activities, and locations.
  • Assistance: Answer questions and offer directions to various activities and stations.
  • Engagement: Interact with attendees to ensure they are enjoying the event and feel included.
  • Setup and Breakdown: Help set up the welcome area before the event and pack up materials after the event.


Vendor Booth Assistant:

  • Role: Assist in managing the vendor booth during events and exhibitions.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Set up and organize the booth before the event starts.
    • Greet visitors, answer questions, and converse about HAPI’s mission.
    • Handle sales transactions (if applicable) and provide information about the artwork.
    • Maintain booth cleanliness and ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
    • Assist artists in displaying their work.


Artwork Promoter:

  • Role: Actively promote HAPI’s artwork and mission at the vendor booth.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Engage with visitors and share information about the artists and their creations.
    • Encourage attendees to explore the artwork and consider making a purchase.
    • Explain how proceeds support mental health and addiction recovery programs.
    • Distribute brochures or promotional materials.

 

Inventory Coordinator:

  • Role: Manage inventory and logistics at the vendor booth.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Keep track of available artwork and prices.
    • Restock as needed during events.
    • Coordinate with artists regarding inventory changes.
    • Ensure proper labeling and pricing.

 

Qualifications:

  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Passionate about art and its healing impact.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Friendly, approachable, and comfortable interacting with diverse audiences.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Interest in art, mental health, or addiction recovery.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions (if needed).
