Job Summary:

As a Volunteer Event/Fundraising Planner, you’ll play a vital role in organizing and executing events that support HAPI’s mission. Your focus will be on fundraising initiatives, community engagement, and event coordination. Specifically, you’ll contribute to the success of the annual Phoenix art gala and the $20 for 20 years campaign.

Job Description:

1. Event Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with the Manager of Events and Director of Events to plan and execute fundraising events. Manage logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, and event timelines. Ensure seamless execution of the annual Phoenix art gala and other fundraising events.

2. Fundraising Strategy: Develop creative fundraising strategies to exceed financial goals. Engage with donors, sponsors, and community partners to secure support. Leverage the $20 for 20 years campaign to drive donations and awareness.

3. Community Relations: Represent HAPI at community events, networking functions, and donor meetings. Cultivate relationships with potential donors and sponsors. Promote HAPI’s mission and impact within your network.

4. Marketing and Outreach: Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials for events. Utilize social media, newsletters, and other channels to reach a wider audience. Encourage community participation and engagement.

5. Volunteer Engagement: Recruit and coordinate volunteers for events. Provide training and support to volunteers. Recognize and appreciate volunteer contributions.

Qualifications:

Commitment to the Mission: Strong belief in HAPI’s mission and values.

Event Planning Experience: Previous experience in event coordination or fundraising.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to contribute to long-term fundraising goals.

Communication Skills: Effective communication with donors, sponsors, and volunteers.

Creativity: Generate innovative ideas for fundraising campaigns.
