The Wishes Foundation is actively searching for a thoughtful and driven Executive Director who is responsible for overseeing the operations, nances, and entertainment programming of the organization.
The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors and the Executive Board to lead volunteer recruitment activities, hit annual budget and revenue fundraising goals, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and develop strategic plans to drive the organization into the future. The Executive Director will also lead all training and costuming eorts, ensuring excellence in performance quality at all times, maintaining partner relationships, and driving the overall success of programming to make a positive impact in the Nashville community.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership to and manages the Executive Board, performers, and external volunteers, facilitating meetings to identify and execute nancial goals and operational logistics
- Facilitates recruitment and casting of all performer roles and volunteer positions, executing thoughtful and thorough auditions while considering the overall culture of the organization
- Heads all duties in costume purchasing and upkeep while training performers to properly care for all organizational assets
- Develops and leads children’s activities for environments such as pediatric hospitals, social service institutions, and special needs schools
- Coordinates scheduling for all performers, volunteers, and photographers for rehearsals, performances, visits, and meetings
- Carries out all policies and procedures outlined by the organization for yearly operations, including membership, attendance, and disciplinary procedures
- Ensures 501(c)(3) compliance through legal and regulatory requirements
- Carefully manages all physical assets, online accounts, passwords, and cloud-based digital assets at all times
Requirements and Skills:
- A proven ability to lead others and inspire positive impacts in the communities in which they serve
- Maintains a willingness to spotlight accessibility, empathy, and strategy in all professional and personal instances
- Experience and/or great interest in fundraising eorts and volunteer recruitment
- Experience and/or great interest in entertainment programming within underserved communities and
demographics
Each role within The Wishes Foundation is 100% volunteer, meaning that none of our directors are compensated.
The Wishes Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-prot organization that exists to serve children in need by bringing the world's most beloved fairytale characters to life.
