Bledsoe Lick Historical Association

Who We Are

Bledsoe's Lick Historical Association is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. The park, Bledsoe's Fort Historical Park, protects the lands of the 1780's Bledsoe's Fort, plus 1 stone cottage and 2 log cabins from that error. The park has a pioneer cemetery, pavilion, restrooms, and several miles of hiking trails which pass the historic spring and cave. We use volunteers to help create and maintain the hiking trails, remove invasive species, repair cabins, cut trees, mow, pick up trash, and help with events. The association is formed to protect and preserve the original site of Isaac's Bledsoe's 1780's fort and educate the public of its importance to early Sumner county and middle Tennessee history.
