Nashville, October 1–5, 2025. Over the course of five days, IBFF will showcase an exciting mix of independent films, premieres, and documentaries alongside industry panels, workshops, live music, and community events. Festival programming will be hosted at some of Nashville’s most notable venues, including the Scarritt Bennett Center, the Hutton Hotel, the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, and additional cultural hubs across the city. Attendees can expect red carpet screenings, youth empowerment panels, the He + She Leads Mixer, celebrity appearances, networking opportunities, and celebratory evening events.
As Tennessee’s longest-running Black film festival, IBFF has grown into a nationally recognized platform for filmmakers and audiences, providing a space for underrepresented voices to be seen and heard. The 20th Anniversary celebration promises to be our most dynamic yet — uniting students, volunteers, filmmakers, and the Nashville community for five unforgettable days of film, culture, and connection
