Community ALERT- New Dimension Scholars Program, equips, mobilizes and empowers youth to maximize their potential by participating in a set of innovative classes. This program is designed to foster positive social/emotional behaviors necessary to build a successful life. The outreach program embraces youth from the fifth thru twelfth grades. This initiative aims to assist intelligent, inquisitive youth and provide the necessary support for them to achieve at the highest levels. These students will learn pertinent information such as the biblical foundation of life, African American history, productive decision-making skills, financial literacy, college prep, building positive habits that cultivate character development, and gain a deeper understanding of their self-identities which will bolster their overall confidence levels and self-esteem.
Students entering the 5th thru 12th grades are eligible to enroll in the New Dimension Scholars Program. Students can be registered by their parents, principal, and teachers. Once enrolled as a New Dimension Scholar, the students remain in the program until they graduate from high school and enter a two-year college or four-year university.
New Dimension Scholars Program will meet every 2nd and 4th Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. starting October 28, 2023. Mentors, tutors, art and music instructors.
